Data policy

1. What we show

Public registration data for the domain you look up. When the registrant is an individual, the name and personal contact details are removed — including from the raw data — in line with Decree 13/2023/ND-CP. Organisation names are shown.

2. What we store

Lookup results are cached for a few hours to reduce load on registries.

Usage logs record the tool, the domain (not for individual registrants), the result and the timing. Your IP address is never stored as is: it is shortened (/24 for IPv4, /48 for IPv6) and hashed with a key that changes every day.

Rate-limit counters use a keyed hash of your address and expire within an hour.

3. How long

Usage logs are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Cached results expire automatically.

4. Cookies

The public site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Administrator sign-in uses a session cookie for HVN staff only.

For HVN staff accounts, each admin session keeps the sign-in IP address and browser details for up to 12 hours (security of internal staff data); admin actions are kept in an audit log for 90 days.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or share lookup data. Links to ID HVN carry only the domain and campaign name you clicked.
